That Substack never built sequences natively is just mind boggling. Given that customer retention is the key for paid subscription revenue, it's really a sad oversight.
I've used this method to recommend interesting posts to new subscribers, try to convert them to paid subscriptions by showing the benefits, and send discounts as a last attempt.
You'll need to set up my Bot account to access your subscriber list, filter them, and send emails via draft.
A paid subscription to my newsletter is required to send recurring emails. In this way, the filters you choose are applied daily, and the emails are sent to your subscribers.
